Did you know that the GMC Sierra 1500 was one of the first pickup trucks not to begin its initial design as a car? When it appeared on the market in 1962, most pickup designs were lifted from sedans, which meant they were not particularly suited for the work and fun activities that our modern pickup trucks can handle. Originally, it came with just four trim level options, and even though it disappeared from dealerships in 1999, it returned in 2003 because of its popularity. Thanks to the Sierra 1500, GMC has maintained its popularity now for over five decades.
The Sierra is a light-duty pickup, remaining popular among families, small businesses, and tradespeople who need a pickup truck but don’t want to deal with larger, less maneuverable models that are more suited to off-roading or hauling massive loads of material. It remains to this day one of the most popular models that GMC has to offer, and no matter who you are, it’s easy to see why this truck has grabbed your attention. With its convenient size, comfortable interior, and continued design innovations, it is one of the best investments you can make, especially since they’re in such high demand. Though it has evolved over the years, the base of the Sierra 1500 remains the same: a roomy and spacious cabin and a design intended to keep you safe while you roam the open road. Whether you’re buying one new or used, the Sierra 1500 will impress you with its confidence and durability.
While the Sierra is universally celebrated by fans across the globe, it is also well received by the automotive industry and has become quite the celebrity. With awards and accolades throughout its fifty-year history, the Sierra 1500 has become a gold standard for safety, quality, and value. It won the 2022 Best Resale Value award from Kelley Blue Book, along with the 2022 Total Quality Award from Strategic Vision, and in 2019, the Sierra received the Convenience Innovation Award from ALG for the MultiPro Tailgate. With such a list of accomplishments, is it any wonder that the GMC Sierra continues to be so popular?
If you’ve ever purchased a used vehicle, you’re no stranger to the nerve-wracking process it can sometimes be. Depending on who you buy from, you may not be told about the vehicle’s full history, including maintenance and any recalls that have been addressed. Luckily, you won’t have to worry about that with us; our new and used Sierra 1500s are all carefully inspected so that we do not sell any pre-owned vehicle that is up to our high-quality standards. We’ll make sure you have all your questions answered to your satisfaction before you walk off the lot, and if any concerns arise, we’ll be here to talk with you.
We’ve got plenty of different model years, colors, trim levels, and engine options to find one that works the best for you. We care about you and your needs, so we’ll work hard to ensure you get exactly what you want, whether it's a brand-new Sierra 1500 model or one from our used selection. You won’t have to feel pressured by being pushed toward a model you don’t want, and we won’t move you towards one particular vehicle; the choice is completely yours. Instead, you’ll get friendly assistance with a wealth of vehicle knowledge.
We want our customers to be return customers, and to that end, we strive to exceed expectations when it comes to every part of the car buying process. You can count on us to do our job thoroughly so that you can leave with peace of mind and the excitement of bringing home your very own GMC Sierra 1500. You’ll be able to show it off to friends and family, knowing that you got a great deal from a friendly, local dealer that looks out for customers rather than the bottom line.
Curious about the most current models? We’ve got the details on the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500, and it’s exciting to see what GMC has in store for their ever-popular light-duty pickup. For the 2022 model year, the Sierra 1500 offers four different engine options, eight trim levels, and multiple cabin and bed configurations, which means you can customize your truck to your heart’s content.
GMC has updated the 2022 model to include an updated front-end design, and every trim level above the base is equipped with a 12.3” diagonal configurable driver information center. In the center console sits a 13.4” infotainment center with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. This means you can keep up with weather and traffic updates, pull up directions, and listen to your favorite music and podcasts, a definite plus when you have a long drive ahead of you.
In addition, if you opt for the diesel engine, you can now also include the Max Trailering package, which before was not compatible with the diesel engine. With the engine and trailering package working together, you can haul up to 13,200 lbs, meaning you can pick up hefty work materials during the week and then take your boat or camper out on the weekend. There’s also a new trim level, the AT4X, which is GMC’s off-roading option for the Sierra. It includes bigger, tougher tires, electronic locking front and rear differentials, and its very own unique suspension package.
We’re excited to see what comes next for the GMC Sierra, and we hope you are too. GMC has remained at the top for so long because of its dedication to improvement and innovation in all its vehicles, and the Sierra 1500 is no exception. With such a long list of accolades and a continued bright future ahead, it seems the Sierra can go nowhere but up.
